Spring 2017 MÜS Information
  • MUS Registration Checklist
  • Forms (required for all players)
  • Fees: 
    • Free to practice with the team!
    • $60 per player to play in the Spring High School League.
    • Jerseys - We will be using the same MÜS jerseys that we used last spring, so returning players do not need new jerseys. (Players must have matching jerseys to participate in the State Tournament.)
      • $40 for new players (includes a light and a dark jersey - cost subsidized by club fundraising).
      • $40 for anyone who wishes to purchase a new MÜS jersey (full cost for light OR dark).
    • $35 USA Ultimate youth membership required to play in spring league and tournaments.
  • Practices:
    • Practices begin March 21, 2017 at Martin Luther King Park (40th & Nicollet). We will move to Minikahda Vista Park when field conditions allow.
    • Practices will be Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday (except on game days) 3:30-5:30.
    • Primary Location: Minikahda Vista Park: W. 39th St. & Inglewood Ave S., St Louis Park MN 55416
    • Captain's Practices are sometimes held Mondays and/or Fridays.
    • See the Facebook group daily for the latest information on practice times and locations.
  • Spring Season​ Games
    • The high school ultimate season starts the first week of April and runs through May (culminating with the state tournament in June). Detailed schedule information will be posted in TeamSnap as it becomes available.
    • Games are generally held on Tuesday evenings for girls and Thursday evening for boys at a variety of parks in the area (see below). You can check the game schedule on the Minnesota Ultimate web site, however rescheduled game information won't be updated there. Check TeamSnap for the latest information.
  • Tournaments:
    • Feb. 18, St. John's 5v5 indoor
    • Apr. 29-30, Matoska Classic (White Bear Lake)
    • May 13-14, Hopkins Hustle (NSC, Blaine)
    • June 3-4, State Tournament (NSC, Blaine)
  • Fundraising
    • January 20-21, Linden Hills Newsletter delivery
    • February 5, Kowalskis (carry out groceries)
  • Communication
    • Tracking player information and communication is done primarily through TeamSnap.
      • Make sure you can login, verify your information (phone number, email address, jersey number, gender, etc.).  
      • Add your parents and their email addresses and then click to allow shared access and send them an invitation so they can log in and get the information too.
      • Log in from your computer and choose to receive email or text notifications (and read them when they come).
      • It is important that you receive and read messages when they come as this is the only way you'll know about many MÜS activities.
      • You can download the mobile app for easy access to team information and receive push notifications.
      • Be sure to mark your availability for all games and events in TeamSnap.
    • Some general information may also be posted on the Facebook page by players, captains, parents, coaches, etc., but don't count on it!

Bus to Practice

You can easily take the bus from SWHS to practices:

Martin Luther King Park: 40th & Nicollet

  • At SWHS, take bus 46A toward 46St-42St/Hiawatha-46St/Via Bryant
  • Get off at 46th St. & Nicollet get
  • Transfer to #18 northbound on Nicollet toward Downtown
  • Get off at 41st St. -- you're there!

Minikahda Vista Park: W. 39th St. & Inglewood Ave S., St Louis Park MN 55416
(It's probably just as fast to walk.)

  • From SWHS, walk to France Ave.
  • Take #6 bus northbound.
  • Get off at 39th Street.
  • Cross France and walk along 39th to Inglewood. -- You're there!
