The Southwest Yoga for All, Yoga club is an opportunity to try yoga for free after school from 3:10-4:100 on Tuesdays.
The goal of the club is to provide a wellness activity where all students at Southwest are welcome to learn mindfulness yoga and meditation techniques to help prevent, alleviate and cope with stress, calm, strengthen their mind and body as well as laugh and enjoy yoga together.
Snacks such as pizza are provided during a discussion community time. During this time we discuss how we can have more wellness in our lives such as working on ensuring we have access to clean water and how to ensure the Southwest Community and future generations have access to clean water as well.
Students leave feeling more calm, confident focused, stronger in their mind and body so they can conquer any challenges.
