Course Description/Purpose
Course Goals/Learning Objectives
Students will be called upon to develop their skills in reading, writing, research, rhetoric, debate and presentation to learn the history of the United States. Students will have a chance to examine a variety of themes and perspectives in U.S. History. Important themes will include the role of Native Peoples, the continual evolution of the Federal Republican political system at all levels, the development of the Market Economy, diversity issues, immigration, demographic change, war and diplomacy, cultural evolution, innovation, reform and religious movements.
