Journals For SL 1 Literature and Performance

 


Keep your journals separate from your English notes! Try to write a half a page for each journal, in order to get all of the points. Each journal is worth 3-5 points.


Journal #1:

If you were in class on Friday, 9/1/17: Choose one of your crossings and write for five minutes about what happened. Please include at least one line of dialogue.

If you were not in class on Friday, 9/1/17: Write about a time you felt unfairly judged by someone- or a time you judged someone unfairly based on appearance


Journal #2:

What different roles to you play throughout the day? For example, the good student, the “fun friend,” athlete, cool kid, nerd, etc, etc. How do you play these roles? Do you resist any roles that you are expected to play?

Choose one of the lines that you marked and write it down.  What does the line mean?

Journal # 4: Identifyf inner-conflict that Jahmal is having as he prepares for party. This is the mirror scene.
