PSAT Information

Registration for the PSAT begins for Juniors on Thursday, September 30th during lunches only outside the IB Office.  Cost is $15.00 and can be paid by check (made out to Southwest High School) or cash (exact amount).  Fee waivers are available for 11th grade students on the Free and Reduced Lunch Program. Applications for the free/reduced lunch program are available from the counseling office.

Sophomores can register for the test beginning Tuesday, October 5 on a space available basis.   Registration is during lunches only.

The PSAT test will be given on Wednesday Oct 13th beginning at 8:30 AM.  The testing will last until approximately 12:30pm.


The PSAT is a Practice SAT timed test.  For Juniors it is also the qualifying exam for National Merit Scholarship program.
