All City Minneapolis Hockey Alumni event! Our Minneapolis Novas defeated Pine City 8-2, we welcomed hundreds of alumni from all seven of the Minneapolis schools and shared our proud history with the current students and fans of the Minneapolis Novas. Thank you to Vintage Minnesota Hockey for their donation of a replica Indians jersey. We raised $500 and are happy to announce Dave Wilson is the new owner of a great jersey. We were happy to sponsor the first team dinner of the season at Famous Dave's following the game. If you missed it, there is still plenty of hockey to play. The Minneapolis Novas are 11-1-3 on the season with players from Southwest, Washburn and South.

Homecoming 2010 was a huge success! It's a great time to come back to the school, take a tour, meet the students and get out your purple. The students - almost 1800 of them! -  followed the marching band into the football stadium for a great pep-fest on Friday afternoon. The alumni section was strategically placed between the Seniors and the Freshmen.

The alumni float in the parade on Saturday received an honorable mention - thanks to all who rode along. Southwest beat Roosevelt, the Performance Team got their groove on and at halftime the new Homecoming Queen was crowned.

Saturday night, the all class alumni party was a lot of fun - we could not have asked for better weather! Thank you to Sea Salt at the Minnehaha Falls for hosting!

The 2010 AL CRARY ALUMNI GOLF TOURNAMENT held on August 20th at Meadowbrook CC was a huge success - a great turnout and $4500 raised for Southwest scholarships.

The Southwest Foundation raised $500 for the football boosters at the golf tournament and another $450 through the CHAIR RAFFLE at the Edina vs. SW football game. Look for Southwest chair raffle at the Homecoming football game!

The 2010 fall alumni GARAGE SALE raised $2500 on October 17th & 18th - thank you all who donated your items or came to the sale.
