GUM Clinic

Register at: http://gum.usaultimate.org/event/minneapolis-mn/

2. Women's Indoor Round Robin Hat Tournament Dec 5

Sign up by Nov 20 to ensure it's women-only. (Open spaces after Nov 20 mean it converts to mixed tournament).

What: Women's Indoor Ultimate Frisbee in a 5 team Round Robin tournament.  Ladies, sign up asap to ensure this will be fully filled by women.  Players sign up individually, not as a team. Teams will be formed later. If by November 20 we are not full, we will convert to a mixed tournament and open the remaining spots to men.

When: Saturday December 5, 2015.   Games will start at 8am and end by 2pm.  Each team is guaranteed 4 one hour long games.

Where: Student Recreational Sports Dome at the University of Minnesota (http://goo.gl/maps/ArRLX).  Bring your cleats, this is turf!

Why: WHY NOT? $30 will get you drafted onto a team. You'll be guaranteed at least four hours of play.  The top 4 teams after pool play will get one more playoff game where #1 will play #2 and #3 will play #4 such that 80% of the players will get 5 games/5 hours of play.

Register right now at www.mnultimate.org/register.php if you're interested.  We will draft teams to create as fair and fun of a tournament as possible.

Time to Finish Fall Registration
Monday, August 31, 2015 6:40 AM

First game Sept 12 -- in just 2 weeks.  See the Fall Season page for game and practice schedule, locations, etc.

There are 4 steps to Fall registration:

  1. Sign up for the fall high school league ASAP. Link: http://goo.gl/forms/vrxLLWlPVe (This is $15. Fee is waived if your parent volunteers for 2 or more Saturdays.) For coach info on the registration form, put Chris Hickman, chickman22@gmail.com, 651-235-2852.

  2. Sign up for USA Ultimate (the national association). If you aren't already a member, you'll be prompted to join while signing up for the high school league. (This costs $31 and is good Jan 1 - Dec 31).

  3. Complete the SWHS Ultimate Frisbee Club Registration Form.

  4. Complete the combined SWHS Ultimate Frisbee Club and USA Ultimate medical waiver form.

Both MUS and the High School league want a copy of the medical waiver. Give completed SWHS Registration Form and 1 Medical Waiver to any captain at practice, and bring the other medical waiver to the first game.

Fall MUS season details - practices & fall registration info
Monday, August 24, 2015 6:10 AM

Hi MUS! After Tuesday's Stadium game, it's time to start practices and sign up for fall league!!  SEE PHOTOS!

  1. First practice is this Wednesday, 8/25.

  2. Practice schedule: Tues - Wed - Thur, 4:00 - 5:45 p.m., Martin Luther King Jr Park (40th and Nicollet). These will be mostly captain-led. We know folks may be busy getting school started...attend as you can. See the Fall Season page for details and transportation information.

  3. Sign up for Fall League!! This year, we're switching from the TCUL league to the recently formed fall co-ed high school league. Why? We think this it provides better level of play, it takes the pressure off of girls (we don't need to meet a minimum requirement), and we may even get to create 2 teams, so more boys can get more playing time.

    Sign up now at:  http://goo.gl/forms/vrxLLWlPVe

YOU HAVE TO SIGN YOURSELF UP. It's only $15. Though you sign up individually, they aim to keep MUS players together on a team (or 2). Games will be 10am on Saturdays at Bossen Fields, beginning Sept 12.

    For coach info...put Chris Hickman, chickman22@gmail.com, 651-235-2852

Looking forward to another great year of ultimate.
