New to a Media/Film Class?

Greetings Media and Film Students!

I'm looking forward to seeing you all and meeting many of you for the first time. If you're new to the study of Film and/or Media Arts don't worry. There's a lot to learn but it's a fun process.  There is room for expert filmmakers as well as beginning film makers in this class. There's opportunities to learn new things and to specialize in areas of interest whether it be cinematography, editing, scriptwriting, directing, film acting, or sound design. You can also learn more about film analyisis and criticism which is really great for people who like to watch movies or TV.

Check out the appropriate syllabus here on the site.

And here's what you need to be successful in Media or Film:

1. Earphones or headphones.

2. An 8 gig(or more) SD card

3. A USB drive of preferably 8 Gigs for storage of video projects.

4. A notebook or folder in which to keep notes, storyboards, scripts and handouts, and of course something with which to write.

5. Your student ID to check out cameras and other equipment. You may use your own camera if you wish but be sure to secure it at all times. We cannot be responsible for lost or stolen items.
