Media Arts/Video II

Much of this course is designed by the student. Students determine what films they want to make or whether they'd like to focus on other media forms. Students negotiate with teacher their projects and assignments as well as their learning outcomes.

Required projects include a commercial and script, film studies of the Post Modern German Film  Run Lola Run and the classic Darabont film Shawshank Redemption, an original music video and others as determined by instructor.

Past independent projects have included presentations of Oscar analyses, research projects on film rating systems, original short films, a comparative study of British versus American comedy using The Office as a case study and other projects involving research into Television, Radio or Social Media.
