The Southwest Marching Band marches in several parades and one field show each year. Our motto is “look good, sound great!” The Marching Band participates in the MN State Fair, ECCO Parade (Labor Day), Autumn Daze, Homecoming, and the Holidazzle Parades on Nicollet Mall in December. Participation in this ensemble earns points towards lettering in band. This year we welcome our new Marching Director: Evan Clark. 

Every year in August, Southwest holds its Marching Band Camp. This is a great way for incoming 9th graders to get introduced to the program and other new students. This is also an excellent opportunity for returning band members to get their instruments out early, get back in shape, and have a ton of fun!
