Hey MUS Boys/Open Team,

Time to organize for the Madison MUDBATH Tournament!

Southwest MUS Open was one of 16 teams accepted in the prestigious Madison Mudbath Tournament, April 24-25-26 in Madison Wisconsin.  (Note: We didn't register a girls team this year because at the time we didn't know if we'd have the numbers to field a team).

Mudbath gives us a chance to test ourselves against teams from thorough the Midwest- of the 16 teams, only 6 are from Minnesota. Mudbath is very well organized and its 15th year.

Here is some basic info:

Eligibility
 - Must be in high school. (Sorry, 8th graders aren't able to play in this one.)

Tournament format

-3 games on Saturday, 2 to 3 on Sunday.
-4 team pools on Saturday.  Championship or consolation round on Sunday.

Housing/Logistics
-Housing provided by host families from Madison
-Leave from Southwest Door 7 on Friday the 24th at 3:30pm.
Kids will be dropped off at home on Sunday between 7-9pm depending on how we do.
  -Here is the Mudbath site

We need to know by April 16th if you plan to attend.  Cost will be $10 per player tournament fee (plus meal expenses and any souvenir gear).  This will be a great opportunity to experience a first class regional tournament, improve our skills and have fun. We're hoping to take about 16-20 kids.

Please RSVP by April 16 via Google form:

Parents, we will determine drivers required after we know how many kids are going to play.

Our coaches for the weekend will be Sam Raths (we hope!), Dan Lieberman (MUS parent and a former ultimate coach, and Tim Opdahl (MUS alum, '14).

Call or text Madalyn (612-508-6489) or e-mail with questions.

Thanks to Dan Lieberman for tournament organizing!
