Course Objectives
 

  • Comprehend, analyze, evaluate and integrate source material critically as historical evidence
  • Demonstrated historical understanding of the modern world through the acquisition, selection, effective use, and synthesis of knowledge.
  • Explain different approaches and interpretations of historical events.
  • Place events of the 20thCentury in historical context.
  • Present arguments that are clear, coherent, relevant, and well substantiated
  • Prepare students for externally graded IB history exam.

 
 
Expectations
 

  • There will be a major exam per unit
  • Frequent quizzes will be given to assess completion and comprehension of assigned readings.
  • Anyone not attending class regularly or not keeping a minimum B- average may be counseled to consider other history courses.
  • Everyone in class will be graded on the same format regardless of taking the externally graded IB tests.
  • IB plagiarism policy will be strictly enforced

An organized Notebook must have your notes for credit
