My Teaching Experience
I began my teaching career in Minneapolis and was an Itinerant Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher for my first four years. As an itinerant teacher I traveled throughout the district working mainly with students who were hard of hearing in north and central Minneapolis. Last year I began teaching a class at Southwest High School to students in the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Program that was related to self advocacy skills. This year I am excited to begin my sixth year teaching at Southwest full time working in the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Program where I will continue to help students develop self advocacy skills.
My Background and Interests
I grew up in St. Louis, Missouri and travel there often to visit my rather large family. My interests include traveling, being green, running around the lakes, reading, donating to good causes, and walking my dog, Chance.
