FAFSA and Financial Aid Information

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (or FAFSA) is a form that students planning to attend college in the current or following school year complete in order to recieve federal student aid or money for college. We recommend that all seniors complete this form and encourage students to complete the form online.

For students in the Class of 2017:  You will be able to complete your FAFSA  at www.fafsa.ed.gov starting October 1, 2016.

When creating an account and starting your FAFSA, remember:

  • you want to complete the FAFSA for the year in which you are requesting financial help (i.e., if you are currently a senior and looking for aid for college next year, that would be completing the 2017-18 FAFSA)
  • you (student and one parent) will need to create a FSA ID in order to complete the FAFSA.  You may create an FSA ID at any time, but will need to have this ID before you will be able to "sign and submit" your FAFSA.
