National Honor Society

Welcome to the website of the Southwest Chapter of National Honor Society! NHS is a service-based organization where members work to improve our community through community service and volunteerism.

Here at Southwest, we perform a number of important activities:

  • we collect recycling bins once a week from all of the classrooms,
  • we set up, volunteer at, and run at least 3 blood drives each year,
  • we volunteer at charities that help out in our community, such as Loaves and Fishes, as well as charities that work to improve the world, such as Feed My Starving Children,
  • we run the annual Sadie's Dance sometime in late fall or early winter,
  • and we work overall and as much as possible to make our community the best it can be.

More information can be found on the national NHS website.
