 2010 Minnesota State Finalists - Record 22-1
If you plan to participate in the Fall 2011 Southwest High School Boys Soccer program, you and your parent or guardian should attend the:
Spring Informational Meeting for the 2011 Season
Wednesday April 27th, 7:30 pm at the SWHS Media Center

2011 Season key August dates:
Southwest Youth Camp will be week of August 1-4, from 1:00 – 3:30 PM.
SW Fall Sports Signup in the SW Auditorium - August 9 from 4-6 PM
Captain's Practice will be week of August 8-12, 2011.
Tryouts will be August 15-19, 2011 (each day) at Lynnhurst Park from 4:30-7pm.
There will also be tryouts the following week, at a time/site TBD.

Congratulations boys on a great season!!!  Lakers lose to Apple Valley 3-0 in a tale of 2 halves to earn 2nd place in the Minnesota High School league.  11/4/10.
Minneapolis Southwest Lakers advance to State Championship game against Apple Valley with a 2-0 win over Stillwater!! 11/2/10.

Minneapolis Southwest Lakers advance to Semifinal in State Tournament 10/29/10 with a close 1-0 win over Mounds View
Congratulations Lakers on winning Section 6A and a trip to State!!!!
2010 Boys State Soccer Tournament

SWHS vs Wayzata    Tuesday 10/19     4:00    at SWHS stadium (Section 6 Final)  Win 3-0

SWHS vs  Hopkins, Saturday 10/16, 1:00, at SWHS stadium - Win 2-0
SWHS vs Cooper, Thursday 10/14, 4:00, at SWHS stadium- Win 3-0

  • Southwest Boys Varsity Soccer completes the regular season undefeated - 17 wins, 0 losses.  Congratulations Minneapolis Conference Champions!
  • Lakers beat arch-rival South October 2 at Southwest stadium!!!
  • More opponents bite the dust....Roosevelt 5-0, Washburn 4-0, and highly ranked Woodbury 2-0.  Lakers still undefeated at 11-0
  • Lakers beat arch-rival South 3-1 at South!!!!!!
  • 9/2 - 5th ranked Southwest beat 4th ranked Eden Prairie, 2-1. 
  • 8/31 - Lakers still undefeated after victory over Holy Angels, 3-0.  
  • The varsity won their opener against Minnetonka 7-0.  Way to go Lakers!
