The Southwest Women’s Soccer Booster Club is a volunteer organization that supports Southwest's soccer tradition of providing an opportunity for all interested students to play soccer.

The Minneapolis School District funds the Varsity and Junior Varsity soccer teams for women.  The Booster Club, through its donations and fundraising, provides funding for two additional women’s teams (Sophomore/B-Squad and Freshmen).  The coaches and game referees for these two teams are paid for by the Booster Club.   Additionally, the Booster Club pays for:

  • Assistant Varsity Coach
  • Necessary equipment
  • Senior recognition
  • End-of-season banquet

Expenses amount to $9,000 -$10,000 each year.  Every student on a Southwest soccer team benefits from Booster Club contributions.  Over 80 young women participate in soccer annually at Southwest High School through the efforts of the Booster Club.  No student will be denied the opportunity to play if he or she is unable to pay the soccer fees.

So how can you help?  Please make a contribution to the Booster Club.  Contact Miles Anderson, SW Women's Soccer Booster Club Treasurer for more information. (miles.anderson@donaldson.com or 612. 925.3645).
