Registration Information

MELAB

Cost: $60.00 (No waiver). Check or money order.

You must score between 65-79 to be admitted to

the Commanding English program. If your score is

above 79, you may qualify for the regular program.

In-person registration is required. Go to the University of Minnesota’s General College Student Information Center, 128 Pleasant Street S.E., Appleby Hall, Room #25.

Call 612-625-3339 for more information or in case of changes to the registration deadlines. Registration hours are 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., M-F.

TOEFL

Cost:     $130.00 ($65 waiver available; see your counselor)

Must score between 145-207 to qualify for Commanding English.  Call 1-800-468-6335 to schedule a TOEFL exam.

What to bring when registering  for MELAB or TOEFL

ü       Check or money order (not cash!)

ü       Two recent photos (passport size)

ü       Social security card

ü       One other photo I.D.

ü       Proof of residency, alien, citizen,  passport
