Welcome students.  I am Mrs. Schoenecker and I will be teaching 9th grade AVID and Honors Chemistry .  This will be my 8th year at Southwest High School and my 19th year in the district. 

Honors Chemistry - Room W25

Chemistry is required for graduation and is designed to meet district and state physicial science and chemistry standards. It is also Year 5 in the Middle Years Program (IB). On the first day of school, bring a notebook (preferably a composition notebook with the hard cover) and a pen or pencil to write with. You will need these materials every day!!  You will be assigned a textbook after school starts.  You will also need a calculator for this class.

AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) - Room  W25

If this class is listed on your schedule and you are in 9th grade, you are in my class.  AVID requires specific materials to be used.  These will be provided on the first day of school.  Students should bring pens, pencils and a pencil pouch that will fit in a 3-ring binder.
