Artistic Response

The poem and collage express visions and thoughts I had about Night. Each    art piece  explains what happened  in the Holocaust.

The poem “let there be light” is a broad timeline that I put together based on Eli Wiesel's experience. As I read Night I heard many groans, I saw people rotting to the bone, I saw transportation on a train, fire as bright as the sun, people wondering why? And what I felt was a pointed finger towards a race and religion. Something so brutal and so wrong took place and then was thought of as a myth to some.

Even though a collage is a work of art, I find less meaning in it, and more visual education. It is interesting and expresses the simple phrases and words that came to me while about the Holocaust.
The cartoon picture I put on debunks the idea that the Holocaust is a  myth.
