1988. I have taught in EBD, LD, and Autism, in addition to regular  education with 1st graders. I knew I wanted to be a teacher when I was 9 years old.

This summer I was luck enough to go to Chicago twice, Hawaii and West Bend, WI. I went the first time to Chicago to

visit my family and then after I returned to Mpls I turned around a day and a half later to go back to help my mom adopt a new kitten. I went to Hawaii for 10 days and thoroughly enjoyed it. My last trip this summer was to West Bend, WI where my team and I entered our first geocaching

I was born and raised in Illinois. I decided I wanted to live in Minnesota right after my college graduation. I moved here in 1987 in pursuit of a job. I began my teaching career with preschoolers and then was hired by MPLS in 1988.

I have 2 resident dogs (Jazzy and Sabrina) along with 2 resident cats (Pipen and Gracie). I do a lot of foster care for other animals needing to be re-homed. In the past, I have been the small animals coordinator and  fundraising chairperson for homeless

animals. I currently am working through United Animal Nation and doing emergency rescue work for animals in need.
