SWHS Counseling Department Mission Statement:
The mission of the SWHS Counseling Department is to provide a comprehensive developmental school counseling program addressing the academic, career-post secondary and personal-social development of all students. With the support of the AchieveMpls Career & College Center Coordinators, SWHS Counselors implement appropriate programming to assist students in career and college preparation and readiness. Licensed School Counselors advocate, facilitate and leverage resources to ensure that all students have access to and are prepared with the knowledge and skills to contribute as productive members of society. SWHS Counselors work with all stakeholders, including students, parents, teachers, administration and the community, to meet the diverse needs of our population.
